The Hendrickson Group

Bioorganic and Biochemistry

The Hendrickson group uses techniques from biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, organic chemistry, and biophysics to investigate macromolecular biochemical systems.

Research in the lab focuses on two main topics:

  1. 1)GPI Membrane Anchoring of Proteins in yeast

  2. Protein-protein interactions, protein trafficking, assay development, kinetic analyses of small molecule substrates and inhibitors, etc.

  3. 2)Indirect tRNA Aminoacylation pathways

  4. Protein-protein interactions, protein-tRNA interactions, evolution, molecular recognition, proofreading mechanisms, etc.
